Creative Kids Childcare Program offers affordable quality childcare
in a safe environment at Lorne.

Lorne Street has an extended daycare program. The program is called the "Creative Kids Childcare Program". The program is open to ALL children K-5, however, enrollment is limited.

Programs are open on all regular school days during the school year, closing only for legal/school holidays. Hours of operation are based on need. If childcare is required prior to school hours, services can be made available. Regular hours of operation are from normal school dismissal time until 6:30 pm. Programs are open during vacation periods from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm.

Programs offer the following:  Healthy nutritional snacks, exciting and unique activities (indoor and outdoor), tutoring, and exceptional enrichment opportunities.

Our supervision ratio does not exceed 14 children per 1 adult. Our program meets all requirements of the California Department of Social Services.

Creative Kids is a Licensed Child Care provider within the State of California. Subsidies are available for low-income families.

This is a traditional childcare program. Children are signed in by Creative Kids staff and must be signed out by an authorized parent or guardian.

Beyond The Bell

Beyond the Bell (also known as Y.D.P or Youth Development Program) is open to all 2nd-5th graders as space is available. The program is free and children need to be signed out every day.

The children are put into groups based primarily by grade levels and follow a daily schedule which includes supervised homework time, arts & crafts, a performing arts program, group sports, and more.

Space is limited for this program. The only criteria is that children are expected to attend 5 days a week and typically can not be picked up before 5:45 p.m.

Youth Services Playground

The Youth Services Playground is open everyday after school until 6:00 p.m. It is open to all children in Grades 2-5 only.  Please keep in mind that while this is the safest place for your child to remain after school until he/she is picked up, this is an open program and children do not need to be signed in or out.

The children are supervised and provided access to various activities which are often lead by the Y.S. Coach.

The Y.S. program offers various team sports throughout the year such as Flag Football, Softball, Soccer, and Drill Team. Team Try-outs are held after school at the begining of each season. Children that make it on the team, travel to various local schools to compete against other schools. The afterschool sports program is run in conjunction with the Beyond the Bell program.

Please contact Coach Sergio on the playground afterschool for any information.
