Volunteers

There are many opportunities for you to offer your services as a Lorne St. Volunteer. There are many ways that you can make a contribution.  The following are some suggestions for volunteer activities:

  • Assisting in the classroom
  • PTA
  • School Site Council
  • English Language Learner Council or Title 1 (CEAC) Council
  • Class activities, parties, or special events
  • Wonder of Reading Library Volunteer
  • Work a morning as a Safety Valet
  • Become an art helper
  • Chaperoning on field trips and/or assisting with special projects
All volunteers must comply with LAUSD policy. To become a volunteer please complete a LAUSD volunteer form and a current TB clearance form. These forms can be found on this website to the right.  The LAUSD holds free clinics where immunizations are offered, including the Mantoux TB test. Volunteers will not be able to work in classrooms unless a current volunteer application is on file in the office and fingerprints have cleared.    Volunteers must sign in and out in the office.
